Copper don't preach

The Sun Online - News: Copper don't preach
A SENIOR cop is under fire for joking Madonna should adopt robbers.

Detective Inspector John McFarlane was accused of being a racist after an off-the-cuff remark.

During a meeting on tackling street crime, police in Wandsworth, south west London, discussed an ‘Adopt-A-Robber’ scheme where officers could target designated suspects.

Veteran DI McFarlane then made the quip saying it would be a good idea to get Madonna to adopt them all.

A colleague complained that because Madonna’s adopted African son David Banda is black, the DI’s remark implied all robbers must be as well.

She refused to make an official complaint — but top brass are carrying out an investigation anyway because of the “alleged racist overtone” of the remark.

Last night a force insider said: “The DI was mortified when he was accused of racism.”

Madonna — whose hits include Papa Don’t Preach — caused controversy by adopting the Malawian baby this month.

These people are supposed to be protecting us! It's not Detective Inspector John McFarlane who made an error of judgement, it's the lunatic female officer who considered his comments racist. She should be fast tracked out of the force, we don't need people like this patrolling our streets.

We are biased, admit the stars of BBC News

We are biased, admit the stars of BBC News | the Daily Mail
It was the day that a host of BBC executives and star presenters admitted what critics have been telling them for years: the BBC is dominated by trendy, Left-leaning liberals who are biased against Christianity and in favour of multiculturalism.

A leaked account of an 'impartiality summit' called by BBC chairman Michael Grade, is certain to lead to a new row about the BBC and its reporting on key issues, especially concerning Muslims and the war on terror.

It reveals that executives would let the Bible be thrown into a dustbin on a TV comedy show, but not the Koran, and that they would broadcast an interview with Osama Bin Laden if given the opportunity. Further, it discloses that the BBC's 'diversity tsar', wants Muslim women newsreaders to be allowed to wear veils when on air.

No surprise there then but what's most worrying is the way the BBC is funded, by a tax on television receiving equipment. Even if you're like me and refuse to watch BBC programs when at all possible you're still forced to pay the tax.

This country is in a mess and one of the reasons is that the multicultural experiment has gone dangerously wrong, supported by the left wing liberal elite at the BBC.

Sky News: Labour Support Is At 20-Year Low
Support for Labour has dropped to its lowest level for almost 20 years, according to an opinion poll.

The ICM poll for Wednesday's edition of The Guardian puts Labour on 29%, 10 points behind the Tories on 39%, with the Liberal Democrats on 22%.

Labour's support equals a previous record low for the party in an ICM/Guardian poll recorded in May 1987.

That poll came just a month before Margaret Thatcher secured her third general election victory.

Now there's a surprise!

BBC NEWS | England | Manchester | Police to avoid Ramadan arrests
Police in Manchester have been told not to arrest Muslims wanted on warrants at prayer times during Ramadan.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed it had asked detectives not to make planned arrests during those periods for reasons of religious sensitivity.

Just when you think the politically correct hooligans can't wreck this country anymore this happens. It beggars belief.

COUNCIL tax snoopers are to be given power to impose £1,000 on-the-spot fines to householders who refuse to let them into their homes.

And the bill will soar by £200 A DAY until inspectors are allowed entry.

Anyone who refuses to give officials “reasonable assistance” will also face a £1,000 penalty. The new measures are being pushed through the Commons today. Tory local government spokeswoman Caroline Spelman said last night: “This is the footprint of an oppressive and greedy government.

“Conservatives will resist these new authoritarian powers and stand up for people’s property, privacy and liberty.”
